John McGarry is a licensed architect in the state of Michigan, earning both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Lawrence Technological University, where he later served as an adjunct professor. His work has received numerous awards and has been featured in multiple publications. Deeply committed to the evolving fields of design technology and digital fabrication, John is currently an architect and computational designer at Gensler Detroit, where he integrates emerging design technologies into architectural practice. In addition, he previously served as director of Co.de.D., further shaping discourse at the intersection of computation and design.
